Lead content strategist, designer, and information architect for Discoverably — an analytics platform helping brands understand how answer engines (GEO and AEO) cite and rank them. I own the total site copy rewrite initiative, building the manual of style and style guidelines from scratch, reworking the sitemap, and leading a full content design overhaul of the app.
About the project
Discoverably is building its product, voice, and site experience in parallel as a young startup. The work spans brand voice definition, site and app information architecture, and UX writing grounded in real user feedback and A/B testing.
Business objective
Position Discoverably as the clearest, most trustworthy voice in the GEO and AEO space. Every touchpoint — marketing site, app interface, and educational content — needs to explain a genuinely new category to brands who have never heard of answer-engine optimization, and convert curiosity into signups.
Timeline
Work is currently in progress, due to wrap up end of 2026. Progress available to share upon request.
Challenges
The core challenge is vocabulary: GEO and AEO are emerging disciplines with no settled terminology, so the content strategy has to teach the category while selling the product. The site and app were also growing faster than their copy — inconsistent voice, a sitemap that had accreted rather than been designed, and no documented style standards for a team writing in parallel.
Approach and final design
- Total site copy rewrite, from marketing pages through in-app messaging
- Built a manual of style and style guidelines from scratch as the source of truth for all customer-facing copy
- Reworked the sitemap and information architecture across the site and app
- Full content design overhaul of the app experience, including heuristic evaluation and annotated design explorations in Figma
- UX writing informed by real user feedback and A/B testing via TestFi
- Documented decisions, guidelines, and project history in Notion
- Built the content design system alongside the style guide so components, patterns, and language stay in lockstep as the product grows
- Used AI tooling to ideate concepts and structure prompts for consistent, on-brand drafting, with human judgment on everything that ships
Outcomes
- →Delivered a complete manual of style and voice guidelines adopted as the team's source of truth for all customer-facing copy.
- →Rebuilt the sitemap and information architecture, giving the site a navigable structure designed around user questions rather than internal org lines.
- →Established an A/B testing practice for UX copy through TestFi, replacing opinion-based copy decisions with user evidence.
- →A full site copy rewrite and in-app content design overhaul currently rolling out ahead of the end-of-2026 wrap.
In closing
Building a brand's entire content foundation from zero — voice, structure, and standards — while the product is still taking shape.
