Hi, I'm Emily.

People often tell me I've crammed a lot of life into my life. I'm a busybody and adventurer — crossing oceans and continents to chase curiosities and passions: working alongside the UNHCR in a refugee settlement in Zambia; studying reproductive health in a clinic in Bali; thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail; solo bikepacking through Iceland to interview midwives; writing branding content for a Silicon Valley marketing firm.

I bring all of that to my writing. Sitting amongst many humans, moving through cultures and communities, problem-solving solo and with a team — it's helped me understand how to communicate through text, tech, and speech. I bring a deep practice of sitting with real people to my UX and content design work. Empathy and trust never fail as powerful ROI.

Though much of my writing centers on healthcare, femtech, and infant health, my portfolio shows I'll branch into anything. I've written about botox for pelvic floor health and design system updates with the same diligence, patience, and creativity.

I'm a solid instructor and a strong leader who builds confidence through direct communication. My current goal: continue rising in team leadership to direct content strategy on 0→1 projects within organizations aligned with my values.
